Easy to make maja blanca recipes!

Maja blanca is a Filipino dessert that can be served as a snack during merienda time.

It is soft, creamy and pudding-like food that you can enjoy with your favorite beverage.

This is one of my favorite snack or dessert, that’s why I am so eager to learn how to make it on my own, so that anytime if I crave for it, I will be able to make it easily. So with trial and error, I successfully made some easy to make recipes of maja blanca.

I like the texture, softness and sweetness of these recipes. That’s why I would like to share it with you. Cooking time is about 10 to 15 minutes. Below are the recipes!

Cheesy corn kernel maja blanca


  • 2 cups of coconut milk (this recipe used 2 sachets of coconut milk powder dissolved to 2 cups of hot water).
  • 1/2 cup of corn kernels
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch
  • Grated cheese


  • Wash hands before cooking to eliminate germs and to make the food clean and safe to eat.
  • Prepare all your needed materials and ingredients.
  • In a low medium heat using a pot, boil the coconut milk, then add the needed sugar.
  • Pour the corn kernel then stir
  • Dissolve the cornstarch in the evaporated milk.
  • Pour the mixture into the pot, while continuously stirring it until the desired texture is already achieved.
  • Put in the molding pan and let it cool and settle before serving.
  • Sprinkle some grated cheese!

Maja blanca con crushed peanuts

For this recipe, I didn’t use corn kernels, cheese and white sugar, instead I used brown sugar and crushed peanuts for the toppings. The procedure is just the same.


  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup coconut milk (this recipe used 1 sachet of coconut milk powder dissolved to 1 cup of hot water).
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • crushed peanuts for toppings

Pure coconut milk maja blanca


  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 3 cups pure coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • Grated cheese for toppings
