Nowadays, there are a lot of people who are suffering from stress, depression and mental disorders. Mainly because of the fast paced environment, emotional regrets, life disappointments, hatred, jealousy, anger, comparison and so much more. These are some of the reasons why we easily feel the emptiness and brokenness within.
One way of preventing this is to have time for yourself, setting a few minutes to an hour everyday for a “time alone” isn’t selfish. It will give you time to think, time to treat yourself to something you want, time to do a little sort of pampering (taking a bath, putting your favorite cream, lotion or make-up, combing your hair, brushing your teeth, using nice clothings and etc.)
Sometimes because we are too busy everyday with our daily tasks, duties and responsibilities at work, home or at the community, we forget about ourselves. Which we should also pay attention with. Whoever you are, you are not selfish whenever you take some time for yourself. We should watch over our mental health because it is also important as taking care of other people and all those responsibilities we do everyday. Consider to do these reminders:

- Eat your favorite food
- Have enough rest and sleep
- Listen to calming music
- Treat yourself or buy something that makes you happy.
- Do some deep breathing and relaxation techniques such as yoga and meditation.
- Watch your favorite movie
- Take a brisk walking
- Compliment yourself
- Cook or bake your favorite recipe
- Do your creative stuffs or hobbies
Yes! life isn’t that easy but we can make it light if we are not stressed, depressed, problematic and toxic person. Help yourself to always choose positive thoughts and actions and do the desirable things that could help you to be a better person.
