The meaning of detours in our lives

I took this inspiring photo during our sightseeing at Pico de loro and Kaybiang tunnel. These are places where people love dropping by during weekends and holidays to view the nature around the area.
We should be going to a beach during that day, but sadly, we weren’t able to do so because the beach was already crowded at that time. So, what we did was to find another place where we can be able to stop for a moment. Thankfully, we found this place where we took photos of nature and be able to breathe some fresh air after a long journey. This experience had taught me that we can’t always get what we want, and we can’t always go where we wanted to be. But there are events or even a detour that can give a much better experience!
Detours are sometimes a part of God’s plan in guiding us to a much better journey. Detours in our lives can be concluded as positive interruptions designed to divert us or direct us to a much better way so that we might have the opportunity to reach the destination designed for us.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,β declares the LORD, βplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

What a wonderful reminder how our detours can also be God’s plans for us! Thank you

Have a nice day…
Thank you for your fresh perspective!
If Plan A always worked, we wouldn’t need the other 25 other letters of the alphabet….looking to embrace Plan B’s, C’s, D’s etc.
Keep writing light into a sometimes-dark world!

Great reminder. The detours help remind me that no one – especially me – can control everything. Better to accept what life sends our way and use the change as an opportunity to grow.
That’s true!

What a wonderful way to look at a moment when things don’t go as planned. To think of a detour as a possible new opportunity rather than a mistake is very life-affirming!
Thank you so much for your awesome thoughts regarding this post Ms Nancy…
