The meaning of detours in our lives

The meaning of detours in our lives

Meaning of detours in our lives.
The rays of the sun were so astonishing that it looks like a shadowing hope that enlightened nature!

I took this inspiring photo during our sightseeing at Pico de loro and Kaybiang tunnel. These are places where people love dropping by during weekends and holidays to view the nature around the area.

We should be going to a beach during that day, but sadly, we weren’t able to do so because the beach was already crowded at that time. So, what we did was to find another place where we can be able to stop for a moment. Thankfully, we found this place where we took photos of nature and be able to breathe some fresh air after a long journey. This experience had taught me that we can’t always get what we want, and we can’t always go where we wanted to be. But there are events or even a detour that can give a much better experience!

Detours are sometimes a part of God’s plan in guiding us to a much better journey. Detours in our lives can be concluded as positive interruptions designed to divert us or direct us to a much better way so that we might have the opportunity to reach the destination designed for us.

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

A quick realization about life!

A quick realization about life!

After a brief visit to Luneta park, we’ve decided to go home because it’s already getting darker. As we pass by the road, we saw this beautiful view where some people dropped by and spent a few minutes of their time staring at it.

A simple view of nature:

Helps us to reduce stress, feeling of anger, fear, and other unpleasant emotions. It increases happiness and satisfaction in life.

This view gave me a quick realization about life that everything is beautiful and contentment is really what we needed. Occasionally, we are so busy with our daily lives that even the things which could make us happy are downgraded, unseen, and ignored. We often don’t recognize simplicity because we want the best, if we have the best we get lots of attention!

We are living in a fast-paced environment where life is like a race, where titles or job status feels like a competition, where praises and respect are sometimes measured! Where money and wealth seem like the biggest thing on Earth. But in reality, it’s not. We must remove these thoughts from our system so that we can find the true meaning of happiness.

Remember this verse:

Timothy 6:6-12
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Give them their flowers while they are still alive!

Give them their flowers while they are still alive!

November 02 is All Souls’ Day, it’s the commemoration of all the faithful departed, the day of our loved ones who were already dead. Various beliefs and practices such as preparing and cooking something for the day. Going to church to pray for the dead souls. Visiting and cleaning our loved one’s tombs, candle lighting, offering flowers, and remembering moments with them are some of the activities that are being done this day.

Remembering our loved ones who were already died.

Give them flowers while they are still alive!

This saying means giving them love while they can still feel it. Give them food while they can still taste it. Care for them while they can still appreciate it. Give them some gifts while they can still open them, laughing with them! Joking with them and enjoying each moment with them while they are still breathing, and while you are still breathing! Let’s fulfill each page of our lives with love and kindness!

Spend more time with your loved ones while you can, and while they are still around because time is running and time wasted never comes back anymore. Yes, we are just human and occasionally, when stress and bad emotion strikes, we forget to be human! We forget the right attitude, we forget to calm down during negative situations, and we forget to forgive. Negative attitudes and negativities are coming out, but let us not be defeated by these challenges! Always choose to love and not to hate.

Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

When to talk and when to keep silent?

When to talk and when to keep silent?

There are days that it feels like a bad day, awful, and unfriendly one.

Some moments seem too awkward, and there are people, things, and circumstances that will test our patience!

When should you talk and when to keep your silence.
For post-presentation purposes only.
Image source: Photo library provided by Pexels.

But when is the right time to talk and when to keep silent? These are the questions that we need to consider, before taking any action.

Important notes:

  • Don’t talk too much with a mean person! A mean person will insult you in any way he/she could. To that person’s eye, you aren’t enough! So, whatever you talk, and how much you wanted to be good to that person, that person would always be hesitant. Instead of engaging with that person, why not do important things that matter in your life?
  • Remember not to utter words when you are angry, words when already said can never be reversed or undone, and might cause another conflict.
  • Silence is suited when we are angry because there is a possibility that the words we produce in our mouth during an intense emotion are negative. That soon will make us guilty of uttering words we do not want them to hear.
  • Talk when you are relaxed and when you are not stressed. A nervous and stressed body and mind could initiate potential problems, such as words that are hurtful and emotionally damaging.
  • People sometimes ruin your moment, and will cause you to feel emotionally exhausted, it causes stress that sometimes brings about uncontrolled emotions.
  • Remember that most of the mean people are unfulfilled in life. They will put you down, they will not trust whatever you say, such as information and thoughts that you wanted them to know. It’s ok, you don’t need to exert effort on these people, you will just be losing essential time of your life.
  • To avoid conflict, learn to control your speed. But take note to speak up if it’s already against the human law and God’s law. Correct them if they are wrong because if you don’t do it, then who will do it for them?
  • Be wary if it’s already unhelpful and harmful to you and other people, avoid involving yourself in any of these: slander, deceit, gossiping, quarreling, lying, and other evil works, to achieve a good and healthy mentality.

Remember these related bible verses:

The importance of being quiet:

Ecclesiastes 9:17
The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler or fools.

When you are angry with someone else:

Ephesians 4:26
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger.

When you are in front of an enemy, or someone who talks about negativities:

Proverbs 21:23
Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps him out of trouble.

If someone is having a hard time speaking, and that person is already in a difficult situation, afraid and a victim, be able to speak up for them:

Proverbs 31:9
Speak up, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and oppressed.

Why do you need to keep your silence when listening to advice?

Proverbs 19:20-21
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the lord that will stand.

The verse that we need to remember:

Matthew 12:36-37
I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words, you will be condemned.

Things you should consider for being too nice!

Things you should consider for being too nice!

Being nice is a pleasant thing that will give you fulfillment and will bring numerous benefits to your body. But the question is do you consider yourself a good person? A good person will do what is right and what is acceptable. But of course, it should always be beyond control. A problem will occur if you do it too much!

Being too nice personality

What does it mean by being too nice?

  • People are already manipulating you.
  • You are already being abused for your kindness and generosity.
  • You already have a guilt feeling regarding telling someone that they hurt you, and as a result, you prefer not to react to avoid losing them.
  • Furthermore, you keep worrying about being liked by someone or everyone else.
  • You’re becoming the so-called people pleaser.
  • You are already acting like buying friends or people to come into your life, that’s why you’re giving whatever they wanted.

Signs of a people pleaser:

  • You always agree, and you apologize too much.
  • Always double-check every detail to avoid missing out.
  • You are too affected by someone’s feelings and emotions.
  • You’re becoming overly humble.
  • Imitating actions just to fit with other people.
  • You always agree and say yes, even you’re not amenable.
  • You love to be liked by everyone, even to those you don’t like.
  • Telling white lies just to impress somebody.

Remember that being too nice could bring some self-neglect, you are already neglecting the things that matter in your life because you are busy providing everyone’s needs and wants, that they should do and find a way out themselves.

Note: You’re not responsible for anyone’s feelings and emotions.

Here are bad things that might happen if you’re too nice:

  • Being too nice can also affect you.
  • If you are always giving, some people will be used to it, and they will expect that from you always.
  • You will develop false expectations from other people.
  • Some people will come to you whenever they need something.
  • You will develop a fear of rejection and will have difficulty accepting judgment.
  • Being too nice can lead you to self-crisis. What does this mean? Being present in someone else lives all the time contributes to losing the sense of who you are.

What can you do about it?

  • Do what makes you feel good, build yourself.
  • Give yourself time.
  • Identify your goals and make them happen.
  • Avoid toxic and negative people.
  • Stop overthinking, and overanalyzing every situation.

Why do some people that you know, sometimes will not support you?

Why do some people that you know, sometimes will not support you?

This post will tackle about some reasons why it seems that strangers are more inclined to support your venture in life apart from those people whom you know personally, such as your family, relatives, or friends?

Image source credit to: Photo library provided by Pexels.

Occasionally, it’s easy for us to get hurt or develop sentimental emotion regarding the feelings of being unsupported. But we have to take note that there are also contributing factors as to why this happens.

I recently browsed my social media account and I encountered this woman who posted about her feelings regarding her experiences of being unsupported by some of the people she knows personally.

She stated that for her years of having her business, it seems that strangers were likely the ones supporting her. She added that whenever she posted something regarding her business, no one or just few of her relatives could even bother to support her. They couldn’t even recognize, encourage or show some happiness for her achievements. She added that majority of the appreciation and encouragement that she received came from people who are not related, and she doesn’t meet yet in person.

What’s the reason behind this scenario? Why is it that some people that you know won’t bother to support you?

It might because of the following reasons:

  • They may have their personal issues in life that they need to focus.
  • They are too busy with their stuff.
  • Furthermore, they might be afraid for your failure, or don’t agree with you that much.
  • You don’t consider their opinions.
  • They are trying to protect you from trouble, but it may be that they are trying to protect themselves too.
  • Your personal development might give them lots of intimidation or personal insecurities.

But why do strangers are more inclined to support you?

  • For the reasons that, strangers don’t know you personally.
  • Strangers don’t usually show their real colors to people they don’t know much. That’s why they would present themselves good or nice.
  • People normally nicer to everyone whom they will mingle within a shorter period of time.

But, here are some sad facts or realities that might answer why you are being unsupported:

  • You can never please everybody.
  • Some people are just selfish.
  • Some of the people you know personally, aren’t genuinely happy for your achievements.
  • They would not support you because they don’t mind about your goals in life, and if it won’t benefit them.
  • Some people are insecure, it bothers their mind if they know that what you are doing can improve your life, and not their life.
  • It really bothers them if they can’t do what you are doing, that’s why they take it personally.
  • Some of these people might have unmet goals which makes their mind wanting to drag you down.
  • They want to avoid knowing that you look better in life than they would be.
  • They have dreams that they didn’t push through, it makes them feel miserable. That’s why instead of supporting you, they would even make face, and criticize every work that you do.
  • They will laugh at you when you fail, but will come near you when you succeed.

Whatever the reason behind it, you should be reminded by the following:

  • Don’t expect too much because people have different mindset, and maybe they aren’t the same as yours.
  • Support yourself, no one would do that 💯 percent apart from you.
  • Prove something and be able to make progress.
  • Give gratitude for those who supported you from the very start.
  • Use those other people who criticized or who doesn’t support you as your motivation to strive, to keep going and to do your best.
  • Improve yourself through continuous learning.
  • Be able to keep those people who are true to you and let go of those who will just bring negativities into your life.
  • Be mindful of what you post in social media, remember that not everyone is happy for you!

At the end of the day, it’s just about accepting the flows of life!

Tips to keep you connected with blogging!

Tips to keep you connected with blogging!

There are times wherein you can’t write a single post because of the following factors like being loaded with activities of daily living, other duties or responsibilities to fulfill, running out of ideas etc. But what can you actually do if these happened to avoid losing track of blogging or to avoid losing the enthusiasm of connecting in your blogging community?

Tips to keep you connected with blogging

Here are helpful tips that you can consider as a blogger or content creator, in whatever niche you have, to keep you connected with blogging!

  • You have to make a blog post plan. Why? Simply because if there is a scheduled activity that was written in whatever scheduler that you have, it could motivate or encourage you to do that certain activity. For example, (this topic should be done by this day and will publish this day). Come up with a schedule that is very comfortable to you and will not interrupt some of your daily activities. Example, once a week or once in every three or four days. Set your schedule, just avoid longer gaps of up to a month or months before you write your next blog post to avoid putting yourself to uncomfortable feeling in writing.
  • Check your page daily for updates, you can do it AM (morning) or PM (afternoon) or whatever time of the day that is best for you. Why do you need to check it? Because maybe there are comments to your previous posts which you don’t respond yet. You can also check who liked your post, and maybe you can spend time visiting their pages too. You can also like their blog posts or comment to it as well. This way you can start interacting and knowing what’s their up too. You can also update your older blog posts. There are many things that was already happened in the past, that’s why it’s a good idea to update older posts to freshen it up.
  • Look for inspiration, there are times that you feel inspired, and there are days that you won’t feel like writing anything. Consider going to a place where you feel relaxed, inspired and happy. This place doesn’t need to be far, in fact, an area in your house can do. Your room, your home desk, living room or in your garden. Make sure that the area you choose is a noise free area, and the environment is calming in order for your mind to create something. If you can manage, you can go to a nearer park or places where you can see people or nature that can give you an idea of what to write in a certain topic.
  • Don’t stress yourself, if you are stressed because you can’t write anything, the tendency is that you will only make it worst. So, no need to deal with it as if you feel like you are unable. Just enjoy and make it a fun journey instead! Everything follows if you were able to just enjoy it. For the meantime, gather your thoughts in a notebook, be it words or sentences, and focus on it. Soon you will be able to write something about it.

So, these are the ways on how to keep you connected with blogging. Always remember to write with a purpose, do it not just to expand your skills but to write for someone out there who needs and could benefit from your content!

How to choose your topic in blogging?

How to choose your topic in blogging?

Many bloggers are comfortable in tackling various kind of topics. Sometimes ended up with a no niche blog because of its flexibility, such as you can write various topics that interests you, and you can interact with different bloggers too. One reason for not picking a specific niche is because you are undecided or having difficulty in choosing one. There is no problem for this as long as you know what you are writing, and you have a good goal why you are sharing a certain post or content!

The question is how to choose your topic in blogging?

Choosing topics to blog.

In content creation, it is important to know your topic, and to deliver it effectively to your readers. Try to ask these questions to yourself before creating one!

  • What are those topics that are very fascinating for you to tackle, or you feel passionate about?
  • What are the things that you usually do in life that you think you can share to other people?
  • What are your unique talents, abilities and experiences?
  • What is that brand you want to be known for?
  • Why are you blogging and for whom is your content intended to?
  • What are the things which you would like to solve?

Things to further help you answer this question, how to choose your topic in blogging?

✔️Consider to tackle topics where you don’t find yourself struggling when writing about it. Topics such as your do-it-yourself creations, your knowledge about finances, health and wellness, your ability to motivate, cooking and baking, sharing tips about traveling in places you already visited or other topics that you know you can tackle confidently. What you really know will help you succeed!

✔️You can always choose what you want to write, just make it sure that the topics that you share can help your readers, something that when they read they can be able to learn from it. Choose a unique topic to discuss, these are topics which you think others don’t usually tackle. Knowing what you can share that is so unique from others will be your edge from other bloggers. Many bloggers are already in the blogosphere, and what will keep you moving in this journey is your unique abilities and desire to help to share.

✔️You should have a goal and purpose. It shouldn’t be just an article or post about your experiences or about what made your day happy! People will come to your blog, and spend time on it, if they know they can learn something in your content. That’s why you should have a goal to help them in some way because in blogging there should be a give and take relationship which will fulfill you as the content creator and your recipients of information.

Is it worth doing? Sweet advice to fellow bloggers who are just starting out!

Is it worth doing? Sweet advice to fellow bloggers who are just starting out!

Hello everyone! Welcome to this post! You are here maybe because you have that question in mind that keeps knocking, if what you are doing right now is something worth of your time and effort. Have you ever asked this question once in a while? Is it worth it?

A blogging advice to bloggers who are just starting out

Sometimes even though you are happy of what you are doing, be it just for a hobby, job, passion, or something you vision to improve yourself. We can’t hide the fact that we have that questions within ourselves, like what am I doing? Why am I doing this? Is it worth doing? Why can’t I see the results that I am aiming for?

I started this blog because I want to have an outlet for my thoughts, ideas, and opinions and have a goal of inspiring others through my contents, whatever topic it may be. I’ve also asked myself regarding this question, and the same answer would fall over and over. That I am doing this because I love to write, I love to see those words, filling up phrases to form sentences and paragraphs and to complete a post, drafted in a notebook, transferred it online and lastly publish it. Yes, not all will appreciate my words, not all will respond to my post, not all would like, comment, or even follow, not all would relate, and not all would dare to give their precious time to read it! But the thought that what if someone out there got the interest to read it, learn from it and may find inspiration from my post? What if it became a sort of motivation for him/her to continue or to learn something? Then this keeps me going, and holding me back when I feel like it’s not worth it.

I want to encourage you as well to:

  • Hold on to your goals whatever it is! It maybe difficult, but with dedication, proper attitude, perseverance and of course your passion with what you are doing, you will surely get there, and achieve your goal. You already have the best starter kit to go through, that is your will to share your contents without asking for something in return.
  • Keep moving forward and never compare yourself -step up, do not feel so intimidated just because you see other bloggers already do well, can write good contents, and already gained numerous followers etc. They also ones in your situation, we don’t know how many hours a day they’ve put in, the effort they exerted to do it, for them to achieve that point of their life.
  • Never doubt yourself, sometimes this is one of the reasons why we quit with our goals in life, why we lose the passion that we needed to go through. Some newbies quit too soon because they are rushing to see the result that they are aiming for.
  • Lastly, be always proud of yourself, it’s already an achievement for you if you’ve able to publish a post that you believed can help or impart something to other people. Be it doing what you love that gives an inspiration and motivation, sharing tips, your knowledge about a certain product, about your baking, cooking, or even simply doing, DIY etc. All of that matter, and I believed that if you love what you are doing you will always be inspired to continue whatever it takes.

A mother’s endless love

A mother’s endless love

We really can’t explain a true mother’s love, until we experienced it by ourselves. Everything changes, our goals, and dreams aren’t just ours anymore! A selfless mother is a woman who can sacrifice, she is willing to give up her personal dreams just to see her child/children rise and shine! She can give you a lot of care and affection, starting when you were young, until you’ll become an adult and a parent too. She will always be there to guide and make it sure to direct your way whenever you needed it. That’s why in return you should respect her, love and take good care of her too.

An endless love of a mother
Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

Forgive her whenever she got angry, forgive her if she’s in a bad mood, if she scolds you, and forgive her for not being the ideal mom you ever wish her to be.

She is a mother who will always believe in you, she may not be perfect, she makes mistakes, she forgets things, she loses temper, and some days aren’t just good enough! But trust me, she loves you very much! Understand her because she has many things to do, and to think about also, aside from taking care of you and the household.

Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

A mother’s love is different from one mom to the other, but most moms can turn their attention and affection to their children, and making them away from life’s interests, hobbies, material things etc. Which sometimes some people can’t understand why. It’s a sacrificial love, it’s something beyond compare, and it’s something that out of the so-called unconditional love.

Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

Time flies so fast! Fulfill your mom’s heart too, similar to how she fulfills yours. Give her time and honor the love and sacrifices that she had given you, whoever she is! She is a great mom.

Being a good mom is learning about the things, strengths, and capabilities which you didn’t realize you can, and dealing with fearful things which you didn’t know you could overcome!

The way we look into life really matters!

The way we look into life really matters!

Life is very much related to time, that we can’t hold back, and once it’s gone, it’s gone! There is no rewind, playback, or time machine just like what we had watched in TV shows or any fairy tale and fictional stories when we were young!

Life really matters

That’s why we should enjoy what we can enjoy, and explore what we can explore! Before the pandemic, for example, we have a lot of time to do some of our life goals. But some of us delayed it because we expect that we can still do it, next month, next year or some other time.

Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

Think of the things that you can do, or should do now, set a specific goal, write your to-do-list, and use a time frame.

What makes us skip all those happy moments which are very essential to life is our desire to get more, and to have more. Learn to live a simple life, and stop worrying about not having all the material things that you want, as it will just stress you out. Avoid being attached with all those material things because it would only bother your daily life, and it would only make you more miserable. Enjoy every moment while it lasts!

Focus on your calling, your purpose, and your mission. You have it! Believe me, you are created for something good. Make use of it to bring goodness to other people. We are all connected human beings, and what makes it worthy to live each day in this wonderful world is our will to connect and serve as an inspiration to someone else.

Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

Serve faithfully, nourish your spirituality, and offer what you can offer to the world unselfishly, these will make you great, and not those luxury, prosperity, power that are pushing you towards the wrongdoings of aiming to have it all.

Choose to view life positively!

Choose to view life positively!

A lot had already changed since we experienced the pandemic.

Our views about life, how we think, how we handle our daily tasks. The way we treat other people. The way we appreciate life. The way we enjoy simple and small things at the present. How we deal with our health, and spend a conversation with our loved ones and to other people becomes significant!

Positive view of life.

All of these experiences that we’ve endured, brings countless learnings in our lives.

The way we use our time wisely, how we live happily, how we choose to avoid negativities and to live simply are some of the positive attitudes that it brought to all of us.

Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

How we define life also has an impact on how we view it. Some says that life is like a roller coaster or a vehicle’s tire. Sometimes you’re on top, and every so often you’re on the ground, that’s why it really pays to be humble and kind!

Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

Some says it’s like a long journey. That what you need to do is to wait. To focus on the things which you need to accomplish, and to have a lot of patience as you go along to reach your destination.

Image source: Photo library, provided by Pexels

Psalm 121:7-8 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

A verse to remember

Our view of life should be positive and should be base on the will of God.

We will go through countless tests to strengthen our faith, character and personalities, that’s why we should choose to live a righteous life.

Be mindful that God is watching over us! The response we show to various life’s situations. How we answer back questions from other people. How we treat those who ask for something, like the needy. The way we respond to someone who criticized or hurt us, and how we utilize the gifts that was given to us here on Earth.

Character development and mindfulness is crucial in life. Always choose to be good, to handle every situation positively, and always note that God won’t give you tests which you can’t endure or pass through.
