Weekends are children’s favorite because it means leisure time with the family!

Going outside to eat, do some sightseeing. Eat meals, and of course, what they love above all is playing different types of games and having fun! It’s their way of life, to enjoy each moment with greatness in their hearts!

Some of us think that kids are the only appropriate people to do these things.

Because they are young and because we have already gone through these days. We sometimes think that it isn’t for us anymore because doing it will gonna make us look childish. And we hold on to being mature in how we view life. We often don’t realize that we can still enjoy these moments. And feel like a child as if every day is a fun day! And live like a child who doesn’t worry too much about life’s situations and challenges.

We often see them fearless to do something because they want to try what it feels like. We see them enjoy good food and stumble with joy whenever we bought something that they like so much. Their view of life is very simple but overflowing with priceless appreciation. We see their genuine laughs as if they don’t bother anything. They easily forget situations that once made them upset, move on and continue enjoying the moment. And they choose to live life as if they have unlimited time.

What if we imitate the way they view life?

As adults, we feel like we should make even faster in life. This is because of the fear that we are being left behind. Time runs so fast that we feel like we are being unproductive. Well, who would even love the life that isn’t moving? Who would even love a life that feels no growth. And who would even love a life where you felt like you are moving like a turtle on a lonely seaside?

Honestly, we want to improve ourselves, we want to be appreciated, we want to feel important, and we want to be useful.

And adult stage makes us feel like we should fear if we aren’t doing any progress because time is important to us now, and time cannot go back once gone. How many years would still be there? How many chances can we still get? And how many fun moments could we still share with our loved ones?

Rushing can push us towards our goals, but it could also mean that rushing can only alter what we should have to do. Things could be better if it is done with preparation. Don’t rush too much because time isn’t your enemy, make time as your friend who can prepare you to do the things that will equip you towards something that will serve your purpose. View life like a child who doesn’t afraid to fail and try again. View life like a child who would smile after an upsetting scenario. And view life like a child who dreams even the most impossible!

There are times that life is like a carousel, it can move you up and down, steady, slow and fast. But whatever life could bring, you should remind yourself not to be bothered by the challenges that you meet along the way. There are tough moments but remember that it always ends.

Sometimes, life is like a ball and if you aren’t willing to move it, it will just stay where it was. We are here on Earth to live each day, and we shouldn’t just let the day pass without living it because of our grudges, anxiety, fear, and hopelessness.

Our success is not measured by the material things that we bought. It’s not the awards that we achieved. It’s not the title that attaches to our name. But, it’s the happiness that glows within us. It’s the values that we have and the kindness we were able to impart to other people.

Viewing life like a child is not a childish thing to do. It’s something that will make us live the way we should.

There is no such thing as a perfect year. Because we cannot control everything. What we can control instead are our ways of dealing with everything. And planning our year is a great starting point to make it the way we like it.

But always remember to plan with a purpose. Ask yourself! What am I planning for? Is this will make me happy? Can this will bring happiness to my life?

Then, consider these in planning your best year:

  • Make a reflection about the past. You have to assess the past year for you to have a starting point. Did you achieve your goals for the past year? If not, is there a reason for you to fulfill or continue it this year? Then make it!
  • Learn to let go. You have to let go of your emotional and intellectual attachment to things, experiences, situations, and even to people who only give you negative feelings. Declutter your life by changing your bad habits with the good ones. And declutter your surroundings. Throw or give away things that you don’t need anymore, especially the things that don’t bring you joy already.
  • Define what you want and need. It helps you focus on your goals that could bring the success that you are longing for.
  • Find your reason, answer your own why’s! Consider looking into your passion and talents that are an important part of this.
  • Set your yearly goals, and make them smart. If we say smart it should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bounded. This is a good baseline in completing your goals.
  • Use a planner so that you know what to do, it will guide you as you go along with your life goals.
  • Improve your abilities, you have numerous talents. You can do many things, trust yourself and explore them!
  • Make a bucket list. These are the things that you want to do, for pleasure and fun. Achieving it will make you feel that priceless joy within.
  • Assess your progress each month. Extend an effort to the things you feel like you’re slow.

Life is very much related to time, that we can’t hold back, and once it’s gone, it’s gone! There is no rewind, playback, or time machine just like what we had watched in TV shows or any fairy tale and fictional stories when we were young!

That’s why we should enjoy what we can enjoy, and explore what we can explore! Before the pandemic, for example, we have a lot of time to do some of our life goals. But some of us delayed it because we expect that we can still do it, next month, next year or some other time.

Think of the things that you can do, or should do now, set a specific goal, write your to-do-list, and use a time frame.

What makes us skip all those happy moments which are very essential to life is our desire to get more, and to have more. Learn to live a simple life, and stop worrying about not having all the material things that you want, as it will just stress you out. Avoid being attached with all those material things because it would only bother your daily life, and it would only make you more miserable. Enjoy every moment while it lasts!

Focus on your calling, your purpose, and your mission. You have it! Believe me, you are created for something good. Make use of it to bring goodness to other people. We are all connected human beings, and what makes it worthy to live each day in this wonderful world is our will to connect and serve as an inspiration to someone else.

There are countless activities, goals, and travels that aren’t fulfilled or suspended because of the pandemic.

But we shouldn’t be sad because of that, the important is we are safe and still breathing!

But what are the things that the pandemic taught us?

  • Unity with our creator– Going to the church with the whole family. I always believed that the pandemic wants to give us all a lesson, and one of them is to strengthen our faith. Learn to pray and seek for the word of God. Yes, I know that praying can be made wherever you are, but to visit the holy church and pray inside feels more different. Let’s fulfill the journey of keeping our faith strong, and to lessen too much attachment with the physical world.
  • Love of family– appreciate the presence of your family beside you. Try to enjoy activities that you haven’t done before!
  • Enjoy every minute– If you want shopping, going to the mall, or somewhere else, then go for it! Walking and roaming around with your family at the mall, finding things to buy, like foods in the supermarket! There’s a great impact when you are outside interacting to different people because you’ve got to learn different attitude and personalities.
  • Celebrate every moment with your loved ones- do some outdoor activities with your family, laugh and play outside, freely and without worries! Let us learn to appreciate happy moments, create memories that we can keep as treasures.

  • Life is too short to pursue your goals and interests- don’t fear about failure! Remember, it’s better to fail than not trying it all.
  • Love the nature- consider nature as your friend that the only intention is to help you in living.

You will also get there just trust yourself.
